If you’re in the hospitality business, comfort of the guest is of paramount importance. So, here’s how to give your guest that comfort with quality flooring.

1. Cleanliness is critical

For guests or clients of the hospitality industry, your floor has to be clean and also easy to clean. Consider Luxury Vinyl Tile (LVT), which is economic, and comes in a vast array of colors and textures.

LVT can even mimic other much more costly and impractical flooring like stone. Luxury Vinyl Tile is easy to install, easy to repair, and very easy to clean. It’s also extremely durable and long-lasting.

LVT is a great choice for restaurants, lobbies, spa areas, halls and even entertainment rooms. It looks great and will continue to look great for a long time. It also comes in tiles that are all different shapes to create whatever design look you seek.

2. Luxury

If you want to create a soft luxurious feel to a hotel room, for example, try some of the newest Antron nylon fiber carpeting. It comes in all different styles and piles from broadloom to carpet tiles. It’s very easy to clean (see #1).

In some cases, there’s no substitute for carpeting. The good news is that carpet is very soft and safe underfoot, and it’s also quick to install, which is great for short downtimes.

3. Demonstrate your eco-friendliness

There’s a major trend in all aspects of construction toward sustainability and eco-friendliness. You, as a business owner in the hospitality industry, can demonstrate this with your choice of flooring.

Pick something that obviously shows that you care about the environment like cork, bamboo, or even rubber.

Clients and customers will immediately get the message that you care about your environment. And if you have any doubts about the flooring being noticed right away, then put up a sign that says so. Tell guests that you have selected flooring specifically for their comfort with the environment in mind.

Some types of flooring will get you some LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) points, and you can mention that, too.
